Eclectic, cross-genre mood reader (but of late, mostly erotica, romance & para/UF—including m/m & ménage). At times, the realities of life & work tend to dictate how UNreal a world I choose for an escape.
Fair warning: I may walk like a lady but I cuss like a salty sailor. ^.~
Dear Author has a fabulous opinion letter today about the whether (on the one hand) authors must be nice and avoid negative reviews in order to be "professional", or (on the other hand) the "be nice" culture and the pressure to blow sunshine up everyone's ass is part of the reason the romance community isn't taken as seriously as other genres. I'm loving the debate, including the comments. Me, I'm firmly of the opinion that authors are entitled to vent their opinions just like anyone else, but that's easy for me to say when I'm not in a position of having my sales impacted by my tendency to shoot my mouth off.
