Karma♥Bites’s Mercurial Reads

Eclectic, cross-genre mood reader (but of late, mostly erotica, romance & para/UF—including m/m & ménage).  At times, the realities of life & work tend to dictate how UNreal a world I choose for an escape.

Fair warning:  I may walk like a lady but I cuss like a salty sailor. ^.~

Secrets of a Summer Night - Lisa Kleypas Surprisingly disappointed by this one. Only thing that saved it from DNF was the broader story about the Wallflowers as a group. I could not warm up to Simon and for some reason, the quick/baseless assumption trope really irked me in this story. As for Annabelle... I got nuttin'.

[In contrast, "Devil in Winter" is a personal DIK; even after multiple re-reads, I still giggle/LOL over the Gretna Green trip!]
